Trust Is Better

There are a lot of opinions on leadership out there. And that is just a fact, it is neither good nor bad. We need opinions on leadership, but we must be careful whom we decide to follow when it comes to leadership advice. My challenge to you is that you must do your homework. Where confusion reigns, it is often because leaders. people. or teams refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Then, having avoided responsibility at all cost, they fail to operate in a trustworthy manner. Trust, as defined by Oxford dictionary, is “a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. Trust is a missing ingredient in today’s western culture, and it is a greatly missed ingredient in the world of leaders. The question is, does your team trust you with their lives? with their jobs? with their futures? Something to think about. Are you advancing the culture of your organization through the kind of ethos or community building efforts that enable trust to flourish inside your teams, and your culture? If not, it is well past time to begin the journey of building a climate of trust.
